This Engagements course explores the profound influence of light on our perception of art, performance, and the environments that we inhabit.
You will be challenged to bring the mostly unconscious process of seeing light and its effects into consciousness through detailed observations,
interactive discussions, and creative projects. By directly engaging with our natural and built worlds; live performance such as music, theatre,
and dance; and a variety of media and art-forms, you will unlock the secrets of light as a foundational element of aesthetic experience and
consider how light and the act of seeing changes us as seers, inspires us as creators, and alters that which is seen.
