Jelena Samonina
Assistant Professor of Chemistry
Since childhood, I have been curious how the universe and nature work. This curiosity was the driving force behind my pursuit of a career in science. I am passionate about the scientific world and exploring the models that describe a variety of phenomena of our universe. My research interests span across several disciplines, including Organic, Biochemistry, Nanomaterials and Medicine. I'm particularly fascinated by the development of innovative concepts in drug delivery, imaging, and diagnostics. Beyond research, I've found immense fulfillment in combining my love for science with the opportunity to inspire and educate others. During our Engagements meetings we will explore the biochemical processes that occur within our bodies, and we will unravel the complexity of these processes and delve into the consequences that arise when they are disturbed. Through interactive discussions and engaging activities, I aim to cultivate a stimulating learning environment where students can expand their knowledge and develop a profound appreciation for the wonders of science and deepen understanding of the world around us.
