Coming from a multi-lingual culture, I have always been interested in changing language patterns and their impact on creativity. As a humanist I am passionate about the intersectionality of cultural knowledge. For example, how do music, language and art come together in a poem? As a teacher, I encourage my students to explore and experience cultural translation through literature and the arts. I like my students to ask questions, discuss and debate ideas as they unfold through our readings. I hope to develop in my students an insightful, nuanced understanding of the relationship between literature and culture.
